Carlos Jordan Oquendo recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in History and a Certificate in Genealogy & Family History from William Paterson University. Carlos currently serves as a Project Director for the Promise Youth University – Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Center (PYU-21st CCLC), sponsored by Rutgers University – Newark. At PYU-21st CCLC Carlos oversees daily program operations, ensuring all program frameworks and models are implemented to fidelity, navigating and enhancing diverse educational environments. His prior roles as a Site Coordinator at PYU – 21st CCLC and the New Ark Freedom School highlight his leadership, organizational, and instructional skills. Carlos’s combination of academic achievement and practical experience demonstrates his commitment to advancing educational excellence and making a meaningful impact on the community.
