Documenting the Work, Advancing the Movement

Did you know that the Cornwall Center has a refreshed digital presence? As Cornwall’s new Director of Communications, I am so proud to share our newly redesigned website. In it, you’ll find information about our research and data projects, updates on our research-informed community-based programs, community collaborations, and our blog, which provides highlights about the work we do. We also connect with community members and stakeholders via FacebookXLinkedIn, and most recently, YouTube! We are particularly excited about our YouTube channel, which hosts our virtual Brown Bags on various education equity topics and webinars, such as school desegregation and multilingual education, as well as a variety of Freedom Schools topics.

So much of our collective progress towards justice and equity never gets recorded or shared because completing the work is often the priority, and recording and reflecting come secondary, or sometimes never at all. As stakeholders in this shared journey, we are delighted to cultivate a digital archive of our experiences and lessons learned in the field and in the lab. Please take a moment to visit our website and socials, follow us on our platforms, and share the resources and events we post!

In this age, it is not enough to just do the work—we must connect with others, document the journey, share the results, and create networks where information and resources can flow to the communities and people who need it most.

In the spirit of that charge, we ask that you follow us online and share our research, findings, programs, and events with those who may be interested. Similarly, if you have an event or announcement that you’d like us to share with our networks, please email it to me at nbernard@rutgers.edu, and with enough notice, we will get it up on our platforms.
